Poco Bueno

Poco Bueno - 9 years - 14.3 hands

Speed, Versatility, Patience, Agility. Poco is an 8-old quarter horse gelding.  Standing at 14.3 hands. Poco was born and bred from Fort Ranch bloodlines.

Poco has worked the Summit, Tooele, and Box Elder County ranches. Poco is a great ranch sorting horse. He has done it for years and knows what he is doing, he has been entered in some ranch sorting competitions and brought home money. He was used by an 8-year-old last fall to sort calves during the fall roundup.

He is also a great open field rope horse. For the past several years he has been used on the yearling division of the ranch. He is stout enough to single handedly knock down and hold a 1000 lb yearling. He has also been used for branding and doctoring calves.

Poco has been used as a heal horse and has the potential to be a calf horse as well. We have ran him on a heel o matic.

This is a solid horse that has had thousands of wet saddle blankets.

Poco has enjoyed many pack trips into the high Uintas, and into the Yellowstone backcountry. He has packed and hauled elk, crossed rivers, passed over snow covered mountain passes, crossed trees, marshes, and rock ledges. He knows how to use hobbles, and tether lines.
